Location is in walking distance to Shibuya station as well as Harajuku ~10 minutes either way but on a quiet enough street you can get some needed rest after your flight/ a day of walking Tokyo. Our room was overlooking some train tracks but the windows are well insulated and you can barely hear anything at all. The spa on site is excellent, featuring a nice sized onsen as well as a sauna and cold bath, all of which are very nice and kept clean by staff. The changing area of the spa is equipped with various hair, skin and shaving products which we found quite luxurious considering the price of the room. Laundry is available on site and you can even get a key at the front desk to lock the machines if you're worried about somebody walking off with it. Every morning there is free yakult (not name brand but still great) and in the evenings there is free ice cream (4 types to choose) and free ramen. You could happily spend an evening not leaving the hotel if not for it being located in such an amazing area. They also offer free pajamas to wear around the hotel and into the bathing areas. If you're not into public baths, the room shower has excellent water pressure and temperature controls.

You're not going to get a better location than this! It's right in between a few different convenient subway lines, and is particularly good if you're not using a JR pass and don't need to use the yamanote line all the time. It's right on the border of Harajuku and a quick walk to yoyogi park. The staff has a little tablet with translator software set up at the front desk, so they're able to help with pretty much anything you might need. They have complementary late night ramen noodles, which was a lifesaver a couple of times. One thing to be aware of is the tattoo policy for the public bath. It's easy to miss this in the facility notes, but it's strictly prohibited for anyone with tattoos to use the bath and they're pretty unwavering about this rule. Additionally, my room didn't have a bathtub. I ended up going to a public sento in the neighborhood a couple of times because if you're in Japan and not taking baths, what's even the point? Public sento was super nice though, so in a way maybe the strict dormy inn tattoo situation was actually a secret blessing, who can say?

I loved my stay at Dormy. I'd go to say, it was the best experience I had for my entire trip, even when comparing the 5 star hotels. Here is why... Great location, right in between Shibuya and Harajuku/Omotesando. (Maybe a little long with luggage to walk from station but doable or cheap taxi ride) I loved the communal hot bath/onsen, sauna and cold plunge. Especially the sauna! I looked forward to it at the end of everyday. The complimentary ice-cream and ice-blocks for after the hot bath. The complimentary freshly made hot noodles at night. Most people ate them in the lobby restaurant wearing their hotel supplied pyjamas. The free washing machines. Staff were really nice. Room was spacious in comparison to other Tokyo 3 star hotel rooms. Bed comfy! I booked in advance and got a great rate! I tried to book again for the end of my Japan trip but prices had tripled. If you book in advance and get a good rate, this is an excellent deal and great hotel! Aircon was great especially given it was a Tokyo heatwave.

There are so many things to say. You can store your luggage at the hotel if you arrive earlier than 3pm and the reception is 24/7. The staff are very respectful and nice. Our room although small, was kept clean everyday, amenities was replaced everyday. There is a laundromat on the second floor inside the sauna room which was convenient and you’ll only need to pay 100JPY for 20mins of drying, which dries really well. The sauna is free and is open from 3pm onwards till 5pm. Yakult and ice blocks are also offered for after your sauna session. Breakfast is served between 6:45-9:30am every morning if you’ve opted for breakfast and there is a large option. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Japan, and it’s the best one so far. It’s convenient located centrally and only 12mins walk from SHIBUYA Sky. They have luggage service that we used to send our luggage to the next hotel for a reasonable price e.g. 15kg was 3640JPY One this is for sure, I will be staying here in the future for my next Tokyo, Japan trip

I would highly recommend this hotel. We are a family of 4, 2 adults 1 child and 1 infant. We had 2 single beds rooms and when we put them together it was perfect for us. The place is just right for 2 big luggages and a stroller. They had 24/7 reception who can speak english well. The buffet breakfast is had a good variety of both japanese and western food. They have free laundry but the dryer has to be paid. They also have free yakult and ice cream in the laundry area. The location is the best. It is walking distance of Shibuya and Harajuku. There are a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The hotel is easy to find and in a quiet street.
